Welcome to your new norm. You’re now a parent of one or multiple children. Your life has changed and everyone says it’s for the better. But sometimes, you feel like you’re drowning in laundry, cooking, and keeping your kids alive. Do you have time for yourself? Are you struggling to stay afloat? Postpartum depression and parenthood anxiety can happen to both parents, not just moms. And it can happen after multiple kids, not just for new parents. Are you ready to ask for help?
Parenting challenges can range from daily obstacles to “this is too much to handle”. If you’re feeling burnt out, there’s hope.

Symptoms of parenting burnout:
- Thoughts of suicide and escape ideation
- Increased addictive behaviors
- Health issues
- Irritability and frustration
- Emotional detachment from loved ones
- Increased feelings of depression and anxiety
Symptoms of Postpartum:
Postpartum is typically caused by hormones after giving birth or hormones produced while you’re still breastfeeding.
- Baby blues don’t get better- your mood dips after 2 weeks postpartum
- Increased feelings of sadness and guilt consume your thoughts
- Loss of interest in things you enjoy
- Trouble making executive decisions for yourself or your family
- Guilty feelings of not being a good enough mom
While both parents can experience parenting burnout, only moms with a dramatic drop of hormones can experience postpartum depression. While both issues are common among parents, it’s not discussed as much as depression, trauma, and life transitions.
